Our team of vets treats many patients with neurological problems, including diseases of the brain, nervous system, spinal cord and muscles.
As part of a multi-disciplinary centre, patients benefit from the input of team members from other disciplines including anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, oncology and medicine to provide the best of care.

Head of Neurology
Massimo grew up in Italy and graduated from the University of Bologna in 1990. After the ECVN Diploma he was lecturer, associate professor and Head of a Small Animal Surgery and Neurology Service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Teramo.
After Massimo’s President role of the Italian Society of Veterinary Neurology (SINVet), he moved to the UK in May 2017 to work as a Neurology Specialist then to the Head of Neurology position at a Small Animal Hospital.
His main clinical interests are epilepsy, inflammatory disorders of the central nervous system and neurosurgery. Massimo also has advanced techniques in Molecular Biology characteristics of Inflammatory disease of the central nervous system as well as Oncology of the central nervous system: diagnosis and treatment planning.
As Massimo was looking for a new challenge, he was pleased to learn the possibility to set up a dedicated Neurology service here at Paragon.
Michał Mól
MRCVS
Resident in Neurology & Neurosurgery
Michał Mól qualified in Poland as a veterinary surgeon with a title of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and also has a degree in Business Management from The City University of New York, USA.
Before working in the private practice in the UK he was a Junior Clinical Training Scholar in Anaesthesia at The Royal Veterinary College in London. On successful attainment of a surgical residency in Poland and final examination he earned the title of Specialist in Veterinary Surgery.
Michał completed the General Practitioner Certificate in Neurology course from European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS) and after passing the examinations he gained the GPCert(Neuro) qualification. To understand the complexities of the conditions in his chosen field of neurology, and to broaden his knowledge of advanced imaging modalities Michał has been also studying towards and obtained the Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging GPCert(DI).
Michał was previously working as a neurologist/neurosurgeon at Wear Referrals, northeast of England.
Michał is our neurology resident working towards a Diploma in Veterinary Neurology. His main interests include complex spinal surgeries and advanced central nervous system diagnostic imaging.
