The house had been extended previously and a confused layout had resulted. A need for various changes gave the opportunity to overcome the historic shortcomings and produce a more practical arrangement. The new extension is discreetly located to the side of the property and provides a new entrance accessible from the driveway together with various ancillary facilities (bathrooms / cloakroom / utility area etc.), the new layout being worked around a relocation of the stairway and hall.
