Part of the School accommodation previously consisted of a detached prefabricated classroom building that was in need of replacement. This has now been removed and a new permanent building provided to house the Classroom and related ancillary areas, together with externally accessible toilet provisions for users of the adjoining playground. The new building is prominent from certain viewpoints and so the form of the building and materials utilised were subject to detailed discussion with the Local Authority Conservation Officer.
